The county located on the border is expected to have a rich past and this is reflected in our museums in Slavonski Brod and in Nova Gradiška. They will find exhibits from the Stone Age, Roman exhibits, numerous traces of the war-laden Middle Ages and the borderline past, as well as interesting exhibits from the new age. But this is also the county where many famous artists come from (Vladimir Becic, Branko Ruzic, and let’s not forget that the famous Ivan Mestrovic was born in Vrpolje …) So it’s no wonder we have numerous galleries for art lovers to enjoy..
