Special ornithological reserve Jelas ponds

The special ornithological reserve Jelas ponds covers 132 ha (out of a total of 1,600 ha of ponds). It is protected to preserve mixed colonies of herons and spoonbills. Large flocks of cranes and geese spend the winter there. This reserve and the entire pond are part of the significant Jelas polje landscape, with an area of ​​20,000 ha, in which numerous bird species are present, as well as the Migalovci forest with a large population of deer. This is an ideal place for any birdwatcher.
