Oriovac, Croatia — March 16, 2026. The town of Oriovac in Slavonia will once again host CROULTRA, one of the most significant ultracycling events in the region. In 2026, the race will take place on May 29 and 30, marking its fourth consecutive edition and carrying the status of the official European Ultracycling Championship in the 6-, 12-, and 24-hour race categories.
CROULTRA takes place on a 21-kilometer circular course, which participants ride multiple times depending on the category they enter. The race includes solo categories, team relays, and dedicated para categories, making it one of the few ultracycling events in Europe that actively promotes inclusion and equal racing conditions.
Last year, 62 cyclists participated in CROULTRA, representing 13 countries. For 2026, the organizers expect an even stronger international turnout as interest from ultracyclists abroad continues to grow.
“Over the past four years, CROULTRA has developed into an event that goes beyond local boundaries. At the starting line you will find elite ultracyclists, experienced recreational riders, and para athletes, creating a unique sporting atmosphere. We are proud that Oriovac becomes the center of the ultracycling community every year,” said race director Dami Zupi.
The race is organized in cooperation with local institutions, including the Municipality of Oriovac and the tourism organization Meridiana Slavonica. Alongside the sporting competition, organizers will prepare additional activities for visitors and the local community.
A special highlight this year will once again be miniCROULTRA, an event designed for the youngest participants. Children will have the opportunity to take part in a short cycling ride adapted to their age, encouraging a love for cycling and a healthy lifestyle from an early age. miniCROULTRA is conceived as a family-oriented event that further connects sport, the local community, and future generations of cyclists.
